The Highbrook Motel is located close to town with many shops and restaurants nearby. The Edgewater Motel is located directly on the ocean with spectacular views of the bay. Acadia National Park and downtown Bar Harbor are easily accessible from either hotel property.
The Highbrook Motel offers the convenience of the Island Explorer, a free shuttle to downtown Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. If you want to walk to Bar Harbor from the Highbrook, it is only 1 mile to the center of town. There is easy access to the Acadia National Park carriage roads from behind the Highbrook along a quiet paved road. The Park Loop Road which visitors can tour through Acadia by car or bicycle is also accessible from behind the Highbrook. For travelers taking Bay Ferry's high-speed ferry the "Cat" to Nova Scotia, the Highbrook Motel is located just 1/4 mile away.
